The Junior League of Baltimore is proud to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its owned and operated thrift store – the Wise Penny, located at 5902 York Road in Baltimore.  Since 1970, the Penny, as it’s affectionately called, has been a source for quality new and gently used clothing and household goods as well as served as an anchor for the Govans community business district.  Proceeds from the Wise Penny are used to fund Junior League of Baltimore community projects. To date, the Wise Penny has raised over $2.5 million to support the Junior League and its programs.

The Wise Penny will host a commemorative sale Friday, November 6^th  through Sunday, November 8^th.  Please join us for specials, including 50% off all Wise Penny merchandise, and a free tote with purchase.  The store will also offer a curated selection of vintage clothing, celebrating style over the last 50 years.
