Estate Planning

In addition to family and friends, many people choose to remember charitable organizations they support in their estate planning.  You can ensure that your commitment to the community continues with a bequest to the JLB through your will or trust. Bequests are the most frequent type of planned gift made to charitable organizations, as heirs pay no estate tax on the gift. We hope that the following language will be helpful in providing a bequest to the JLB.

Percentage: I give, devise, and bequeath to the Junior League of Baltimore, a nonprofit corporation of the State of Maryland, located at 5902 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212, ___ % of my estate.

Specific: I give, devise, and bequeath to the Junior League of Baltimore, a nonprofit corporation of the State of Maryland, located at 5902 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212, $ ___ / ___ (item) / all the residue of my estate.

Contingent:  In the event of the death of any of the beneficiaries, I give, devise, and bequeath to the Junior League of Baltimore, a nonprofit corporation of the State of Maryland, located at 5902 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212, ___ %, $ ___ / ___ (item) / all the residue of my estate.

Your commitment and generosity are very much appreciated. Because of supporters like you, the Junior League will remain a powerful resource for the Baltimore community for generations to come. Together we are indeed “Building a Better Community.”
