President Elect Kara D. Beverly Receives Leading Women Award

The Junior League of Baltimore is pleased to announce that President Elect, Kara D. Beverly, has been named one of Maryland The Daily Record’s Leading Women for 2021.  Leading Women recognizes women age 40 or younger for the tremendous accomplishments they have made so far in their careers. They are selected by a panel of judges based on professional experience, community involvement and a commitment to inspiring change.  A virtual award ceremony will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

Ms. Beverly is an Equity Compliance Investigator with Johns Hopkins University, where she investigates and resolves complaints of sexual misconduct and protected class discrimination.  In addition to her service with the Junior League of Baltimore, Ms. Beverly currently serves as Commissioner and Co-Chair of the Public Policy Agenda Committee for the Baltimore County Commission for Women; Vice Chair of the Alpha Kappa Alpha North Atlantic Region Constitution & Bylaws Committee; is a member of the Maryland Legislative Agenda for Women; and is immediate past President of Women’s Housing Coalition.
